I have found a semi-fix though: Lowering the resolution in Windows before starting GTA 5 makes the game occupy the entire screen in that resolution.Yes, obviously.
I don't have teamviewer though so that cannot be the problem I think the reason is that I have a high resolution screen and GTA5 doesn't know how to deal with non native resolutions. The following solution worked for me: Close teamviewer.
